Santa Cruz Dive Sites
Sites accessible from Santa Cruz Include: Academy Bay, Bartolome, Beagle Rocks, Cousins Rock, Daphne Minor, Gordon Rocks, Guy Fawkes, Mosqueras, N. Seymour, Pinzon, Santa Fe, Nameless... SANTA CRUZ DIVING offers some of the most incredible dive sites in the southern Galapagos Islands. Many more sites are accessible from Santa Cruz than any other island which translates into offer a wider variety of dive sites: From viewing pelagics to macro and sites appropriate for beginnings - advanced divers.
Some local shops operate on a fixed schedule, ie: Monday is Dive Site A, Tuesday is Dive Site B and so on. If you can work your plans around where you want to dive in advance, this is great. But if diving is an afterthought to your Galapagos travel, then more than likely you are going to find that Advanced Divers might not be interested in diving Santa Fe nor would a beginner be interested in Gordon Rocks.
Yes, it's complicated in the Galapagos, but to help you navigate the waters (pun intended), DiveTheGalapagos.com was born. We are more than happy to discuss with you which site works best for you and then find out what LEGAL and SAFE options exist for the dates you are looking for. We present you the options and then refer you directly to a dive center we trust. What could be easier or better? Please get in touch with us to inquire about your diving options in Santa Cruz.
We will have a fairly comprehensive listing of all Santa Cruz dive sites in short order, but we'll start with the ones on our island-hopping programs. As we are fond of saying in Ecuador, "Poco a poco."

Floreana Diving
Floreana sites include: Champion, Corona del Diablo, Enderby, Punto Cormorant... There are no dive operators on Floreana. All daily dives to Floreana are either from Santa Cruz, San Cristobal, Isabela or are part of our Island Hopping Dive Tour.
-
Isabela Diving
Isabela sites includes: Isla Tortuga, La Viuda, 4 Hermanos and Roca Union - accessible by land. Live-aboards dive Cabo Marshall, Roca Redonda and Punta Vicente Roca On Isabela are 4 dive sites accessible by land, 3 accessible by liveaboard and others that no one goes to anymore after the Park abruptly put a halt to cruises that were permitting diving and were not strictly live-aboards...in the infamous year (of our Lord & Master & Commander [part of which was filmed in the Galapagos, btw] - PNG) 2007. We do have access to our 'secret' site that some proclaim to have been as good as Darwin and Wolf even though it's not a shark site per se. It's a pricey charter though, so only inquire if you're a group. We have included Los Tuneles on our site, even though it is a snorkel site and not a dive site, because we always take our divers to this magical place.
